448G PAM4: The Future of 3.2T Data Centers

October 15, 2025 | 10:00 AM CEST

How did three companies come together across three continents to take some of the industry’s first steps towards 3.2T AI data centers?

AI data centers are already pushing 400G, 800G, and even 1.6T speeds — and 3.2T isn’t far away. But that future depends on transmitting data at speeds of 448G per lane, and until now that’s meant moving past the PAM4 format for high-speed signaling. However, higher-speed formats like PAM6 and PAM8 have their own limitations — including equalization, jitter, and timing constraints.

But that’s a problem of the past now.

A joint partnership between Keysight, NTT Innovative Devices, and Lumentum produced a pioneering 448G signaling demonstration over PAM4 — paving the way for the next step in 3.2T R&D. Register for our panel discussion today to learn more about this breakthrough and how it was possible.

Why should you attend?

  • Get an inside look at the technology behind the record-breaking 448G signaling demo.
  • Hear firsthand accounts from the innovators who worked on the project.
  • Find out what this means for the future of high-speed Ethernet and AI data centers.
