Multitone, NPR, and Group Delay for Satellite Communications

About This Webinar

Characterizing the quality of a transmission channel requires detecting the amplitude flatness and phase distortion as they both result in a limited signal quality at the receiver. The test system needs to measure phase distortion or group delay variation as these are the most important characteristics which limit the bandwidth of the RF signal path and lead to distortion of the signal passing the RF channel.

In this webinar, Ian Furniss, discusses the fundamentals of the group delay measurement as well as the noise power ratio (NPR), and multitone, the testing challenges, and Keysight’s new test system solution to enable these measurements with high accuracy in satellite communications. He will also demonstrate a live demo video which is a great opportunity to see these measurements in action.
