    Dr. V. Senthil Kumar received his B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.E in Communication Systems, and Ph. D in Ground Station Antenna systems. He has been with Communication Systems Group of U.R. Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru and involved in the design and development of Spacecraft RF systems. Presently he is leading the RF research activities in U R Rao Satellite Centre as Group Director.

    He worked in Antenna Research Group, German Aerospace Centre (DLR) as Guest Scientist in the year 2002-2003 and actively involved in the Smart Antenna development project for multimedia communication for Aircrafts.

    He received Independent Day Award from National Research Development Corporation-Government of India Award in 1998 for the design of “Low cost monopulse tracking antenna system”. He also received 3 team excellence Awards from ISRO for the development of novel RF systems. He holds two patents in the field of Ultra Low Side Lobe Antenna Arrays for Aircraft and Rotary Joints for High Power Applications for Spacecraft.

    His current research includes miniature RF systems for Spacecraft, Phased Array Antenna, EMIEMC, Microwave Filters, and Radars. He has published 106 technical papers in National /International journals & conferences.
