    Rahim Tafazolli is Regius Professor of Electronic Engineering, Professor of Mobile and Satellite Communications, Founder and Director of 5GIC, 6GIC and ICS (Institute for Communication System) at the University of Surrey.
  • Professor Bruno Clerckx
    Professor and Head of the Communications and Signal Processing Group
    Bruno Clerckx is a Professor, the Head of the Communications and Signal Processing Group, and the Head of the Wireless Communications and Signal Processing Lab, within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at Imperial College London.

    Prof. Irshaad Fatadin is currently a Principal Scientist with the Electromagnetic Technologies Group at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). He is a Visiting Professor with the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Surrey. He leads NPL’s collaborative research with industry and academia on several projects in the telecoms area including 6G communications. He is a Chartered Physicist (CPhys), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the Engineering Council UK and a senior member of the IEEE.

    Dan Warren is Director of Communications Research at Samsung Research UK.  He leads a team of researchers and Standards representatives working on cutting-edge mobile telecoms technology innovation, in the fields of Beyond 5G, 6G and the application of Artificial Intelligence.  Dan applies his broad experience in the industry across technical, commercial, strategic and regulatory topics to steer Research towards relevant and commercially viable solutions.  Dan is currently a Board member of 6G-IA, the advisory Board of UKTL, and is a member of a number of External Advisory Boards for academic research projects.

  • Henrik Almeida
    Head of Ericsson Research UK
    Dr. h.c. Henrik Almeida, Head of Ericsson Research UK, started working at Ericsson in 1990 and joined Ericsson Research in 1998, where he has held various research leader positions over the past 26 years. In 2010, he was awarded a technical honorary doctorate in Lund, for research carried out in broadband access technologies. Initially leading the evolution of fixed broadband access transceiver technologies, including GPON, VDSL2, and G.fast eventually leading to the ITU-T standard G.9701. Later, with his team into wireless access research, spearheading a new concept and architecture for the Ericsson indoor ‘Radio Dot System’ and advanced compression algorithms for the ORAN Low Layer Splits (LLS). In 2018 – 2022, established the Ericsson Research site in Istanbul, researching secure, intelligent, and intent-based network management automation solutions for Smart Industries. Since 2023, establishing a new Ericsson Research site in London, focusing on 6G research.

    Currently working as Product Manager for market leading 5G Protocol test solution at Keysight. His experiences include leading development of protocol solutions, working in close collaborations with 5G market makers for bring up of leading-edge features of the cellular protocol stack and managing leading edge technology roadmap.
